Durg Vinayak

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ । निर्विघ्नम् कुरु मे देव सर्व कार्येषु सर्वदा॥ I pray to thee O Lord, who has a curved trunk and a strong body, the shine of a million suns, to remove all the hurdles that may block me from all the tasks I intend to perform. अगजानन पद्मार्कं गजाननं अहर्निशम् । अनेकदंतं भक्तानां एकदन्तं उपास्महे ॥ The sun to Mother Parvati's lotus face, I worship Lord Ganesh, with the elephant face, the one who grants a lot of wishes, the one with the single tusk, I salute thee to grant my wish. ॐ गजाननं भूतगणादि सेवितं कपित्थ जम्बूफलसार भक्षितम् उमासुतं शोक विनाशकारणं नमामि विघ्नेश्वर पादपङ्कजम् ॥ Oh elephant-faced Lord, who is served by all the Ganas, who consumes the essence of Kapitta and Jamboophala, His favourite fruits, who is Uma's son, who destroys the gloom of His devotees, who handles hurdles, we worship your lotus feet. ॐ तत्पुरुषाय विद्महे। महादेवाय धीमहि। तन्नो रुद्रः प्रचोदयात्॥ We meditate on the great power, we call upon the single tusked Ganesh, who grants wishes. Durg Vinayak is located at no. 27/1, behind Durga Kund. Durg Vinayak is a standalone temple with two entrances and a lot of devotees regularly come for offering prayers. Devotees can travel upto this place by cycle rickshaw or auto rickshaw and famous landmark is Durga Kund which one can never miss. The aarties are widely attended by many persons. Staunch devotees believe that worshipping Durg Vinayak during or before any job/project, will certainly give success in that venture.
